The festival of the Holy Seven Children has the following peculiarity. It takes place in a secluded church in a small cove called “Mouzakia” between Oia and Imerovigli. Access to it is only by sea with boats that depart from Athinios, the Old Port of Fira, Ammoudi or Mesa Gialos, on the eve and on the day of the feast. Every August 4, in the well-hidden church that symbolizes the cave where the Holy Seven Children hid in Ephesus to be saved from persecution against Christians, this special island festival takes place. The music, the local wine and the traditional fava complete the scene of the genuine seaside festival of the Holy Seven Children in Santorini.
