Panigyri of Agios Isidoros

May 14 @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm | Free

The festival of Agios Isidoros or “t Ai Si’eros” for the older Ikariotes in Pezi is a possible start of the festivities that will follow in Ikaria. Every year on May 14 in Pezi, which is declared a traditional settlement, the whole island gathers to celebrate Saint Isidore. The island, Ikarian songs are heard throughout the village and the spectators dance non-stop from early noon. If you are in the village in the morning, we suggest you explore the forest areas around Pezi and the dams.

(The small dam is located in a pine forest area, near Lagada. The Large Dam of Ikaria is located a few kilometers north of the village of Pezi and is fed by the torrent Pezi with a useful volume of 1,000,000 cubic meters)
