In a predominantly “fishing” area such as Koufonisia, with fishing having been a basic profession of the locals, the Fisherman’s Day is a must! It is celebrated in the marina of the island, on the Saturday before the Holy Spirit from sunset until the next morning.

The Cultural Association of Koufonisia “Keros” organizes and the fishermen of the island, together with the rest of the inhabitants participate in the big party. The musicians who play on the islands, the dance groups and those who attend have fun for hours, while at the same time fish appetizers, rakomelo and wine are offered.
