In Ithaka you can experience a festival that stands out from any other festival in Greece for two reasons.The first one is that it lasts for 24 hours and the second reason is that it combines traditional island and folk music with European sounds such as waltz, tango, fox etc. If nothing else, it is a vibrating ambiance for locals and tourists! The festival takes place in the central square of the village called Stavros. After the church service that takes place in the church of the Transfiguration of the Savior, a church that was built by refugees from 1923 to 1929, the party erupts in a way reminiscent of a party!
