May 21 @ 2:00 pm - 11:30 pm | Free

One of the first festivals of the summer season in Naxos takes place on May 21 in Komiaki on the occasion of the feast of St. Constantine and Helen. The festival takes place in two small adjacent single-aisled vaulted churches two kilometers southeast of Komiaki. The festival is set on the plateau under four large plane trees with live music, lots of dancing, traditional food and plenty of wine. Worthy appetizers have their place of honor. The goat that is cooked in a shallow and wide cauldron, the harani as the locals call it, and is served with spaghetti. The famous cheeses of Naxos and the local wines are shared with the people and the party begins with the island violin playing non-stop. If you are in Komiaki, the village is located between plane trees, small orchards and vineyards, among other things you will definitely enjoy the view.
