In distant Karpathos,you may think that you have entered a time machine that has
sent you to the island a few years back.On the 15 th of August,you will have the
chance to walk by women wearing the,admittedly impressive,traditional costume of
Karpathos.Their colors are reminiscent of Peruvian women’s clothing,but are even
more numerous and intense.At the same time they are decorated with many
festoons (rows of gold-plated coins as jewelry).Should you find yourself in the
following dilemma:”should I take more pictures or should I start dancing”,have in
mind that there is no wrong answer!
